interesting day. Absolutely no doubt Farage is happy, his party have performed very well.

I'm pleased to see the gains the lib dems have made though.

Farage says anyone working for Durham council who works on climate change or diversity, equity and inclusion should be looking for new jobs

To ignore climate change is happening is one thing but even reform voters must be appalled he's targeting those protected under the equality act, he's even said he would get rid of the equality act 2010

    Just don't get this

    You don't?

    1. the climate change, net zero farce, is strangling the country, both industrially and the publics pocket. Lies upon lies. We have the highest energy prices in the world, yet to listen to Milliband, he preaches cheap/clean energy as though its a win win. Mans a complete arse hole

    2. Every Work place in the country is overrun with these plastic jobs, usually on exorbitant salaries. The NHS is a classic example. The NHS strategy chief, wants staff to practice Ramadan in support of Muslim staff? WHAT!!!!!!!
Having observed prisoners, do Ramadan, its the worst idea I have ever heard. Starving/ not drinking, they become lethargic/ lose concentration/ get tired and lazy. Yet this clown, wants more staff to do so, as a diversity idea? Meanwhile, the NHS waiting list hit 7.5 million last December, yet pillocks like this come up with this rubbish. Many of these Tsars are on higher wages than the senior bosses.
Lets not forget their anti - white drives in the armed forces and Police. That worked out well.

We have laws already on equality already in this country, without these clowns driving their own agendas.

It’s madness, Sith. In many ways, imo, we’ve seen Democracy at its worst over the last ten months or so.
Last July, in what was at least partially a protest vote against Tory incompetence and corruption, Labour won a huge though admittedly disproportionate majority.
Ten months on and the same electorate decides to keep on ‘smacking’ the Tories while handing the reins of local, largely rural, power to the Right.
In the meantime the U.S. re elects the closest thing to a western dictator I can ever remember and now watches in horror as, once in power, his manufactured popularity plummets in a way that must make Starmer feel truly wanted.

Tbh I do think we’ve been here before in terms of protest votes and I doubt if it’ll be symptomatic of any future General Election result. I’ve just seen Farage on TV and he already makes no sense at all, but it’s a mess and the upsurge in Reform run councils along with the relationship between Farage and Trump seems likely to only seek to undermine our elected Government. Throw the ramifications of Brexit into the mix, in the context of a freshly fractured Europe, and sensible folk have to be concerned while those on the Right relish the potential chaos.

Anyway, for the next few hours, forget it. COYR!

My prediction is that given the poor quality of idiots that they have as candidates, it will all fall apart very quickly! As it did with the only council UKIP took control of in Kent. Farage has absolutely no clue about governance, but neither has that utter nonentity they ahve elected mayor in Lincs, it will be fun watching them cock everything up, though not so much fun for the people working for them. However, Uk government and law is somewhat less susceptible to being bypassed and ignored as has happened (to date) in the US.

your prediction was a year ago, that REFORM was a phase and would never make headways anywhere. Well in spite your expert knowledge, they continue to do so and even lead the national polls. Pick my lottery numbers, so I know which numbers to avoid

IMO in general terms they are being a bit silly on climate change but so are Labour (with national policy) and Regretably Milliband would be unpopular whatever he proposed, he?s just that sort of fellah

Filtering out some of the bizarre DEI roles will be a popular move with the plebs, I spent a lot of time in the dark days of the 2010s sticking up for it but If he?s talking about removing quotas, and there appear to be a lot around, fair enough

If you have any faith that Farage knows what he is doing, then your judgement is very questionable!

The MP for Runcorn is another dumb ex Tory who fortunately doesn't have to do anything other than sit in the House of Commons and follow Farage's orders. I do expect however that she will find that an issue and either cross the floor back to the Tories or be an independent and fade into obscurity.

I'm pleased to see these utter useless ****s elected, they will **** up pretty soon, fall out with each other and basically demonstrate their inability to run a piss up in a brewery. bring it on.
Jenkyns is awful. I know her comments about housing immigrants in tents will be popular with a lot of people, despite it being cruel. Then her pathetic attempt at joking about another candidates south African accent was just painful to watch.
