On another note, I see problems starting already in Sleepy Joe’s camp, with a senior aide at the Whitehoose threatening to destroy a reporter who was about to release a story. Let’s remember that Sleepy Joe stated at his inauguration that he would fire, on the spot, any member of his staff found not treating anyone fairly and with respect. Well, said aide has been suspended for only seven days, and this only happened after the matter was highlighted by a major news agency. Only a couple of weeks in and already Snoozy’s speech is in tatters.

Biden 60% approval rating something Trump failed to achieve in his whole presidency. Trump lost the house in 2018, lost The senate in 2020 and the Presidency. Wiped out of all 3 branches of government.

The Republicans are in a bit of a jam. The country rejects Trump but the party base is MAGA and anyone deviating from Trump will get primaried from the MAGA's. The GOP is clamped in to the personality cult. Dems will win again in 2024

I wasn't saying in my post that because you like Trump you are by definition all of these things. What I can't get my head round though is why people do support him personally when he is all of these things.
Especially the danger to democracy bit.

What I do understand is that a lot of Republicans would never ever vote Democrat even if the candidate was Jesus Christ reborn! So any Republican leader is likely to still get their vote.

A good proportion of the 74 million Republican voters would have been voting for the party even though they were unhappy with Trump as a person. A lot of Republicans have cancelled their party registrations and a fair few donors have left as well.

He also seems to be about to split the party, so it's interesting times.
