Great post and the last bit I absolutely agree with.
For example, Brunt are DKE are not first team starters for us so why pick them for a MUST WIN game (tripling your promotion odds by place off place surely meets this criteria) against a team battling for survival but knowing they'll probably stay up anyway (because KL will drop pts)
It was a game for the strongest 11.

I only got to listen to the second half, but as soon as I saw the team sheet I couldn't believe it. Seemed like unnecessary tinkering to me, especially as the team appeared to play well midweek, and performed with a good intensity.

We had a new front 4 combo on Tuesday that worked well together, and now it got changed again for another new front 4 combo.

I feel for Sam. It seems like he's a confidence player, and needs a little run of games to get into the groove. A little strange to start with both Woots & Sam on the bench

I thought that too when I read the team news not long before kick off. Woots I could understand but not both.

If you read most of those stats, you assume that Notts are winning that game comfortably. But then you see that while Aldershot only had five efforts, all of them were on target. Out of our 16 efforts, only three were on target - and one of those was the penalty.

Definitely shows the limitations of a possession-based game when you’re not doing anything to hurt the opposition with it.

Oh well, two wins at home this week and at least we’ll definitely be in the playoffs.
