I like him, he’s tactically much more aware than Williams…but I’m not sure he can motivate like Williams did.

I think he’s destined to fail sadly

I like him as well and I hope he succeeds for his sake and ours, but I think you're most prob right. Let's hope we're both wrong.

If we did get promoted under him, I feel it'd be because the club has assembled a great squad of players, and if they gel and get on a roll....
I don't feel SM could make the difference in getting a slightly lesser set of players over the hump.

I think we'll have a better idea by the turn of the year. If we've managed to hang on to the coat tails of the leading contenders until then the long term injured should return and the owners might back him in the January market to push on. Fingers crossed that's how things turn out.

I think we'll be lucky to hang on to a play off place, we need effective recruitment in January. We need to sign players who can potentially go straight in to the starting eleven not bench warmers.

He's been here almost a year and his record is worse than Steve Thompson.

Tier 4 managers PPG table (league and play offs only, does not include Caretakers)
    2.50 Steve Cotterill
    2.15 Sam Allardyce
    2.01 Jimmy Sirrel
    2.00 David Kevan (2)
    1.87 Frank Hill
    1.62 Luke Williams
    1.56 Kevin Nolan
    1.42 Tim Coleman (3)
    1.42 Andy Beattie
    1.33 Jack Wheeler
    1.30 Ricardo Moniz
    1.29 Hans Backe
    1.28 Steve Thompson
    1.26 Jack Burkitt
    1.24 Eddie Lowe
    1.24 Stuart Maynard
    1.18 Harry Kewell
    1.17 Ian Richardson
    1.13 Gudjon Thordarson
    1.13 Ian McParland
    1.10 Billy Gray
    1.10 Mark Cooper
    1.06 Gary Mills
    0.96 Neal Ardley
    0.92 John Sheridan
    0.83 Jamie Fullarton

Are those based on the managers' performance when they've been at Notts for nearly a year, or their overall performance. It would be fairer to see the former if that's not what is shown.
