Was a good listen. I actually found out yesterday somebody l know knows Jarvis from his days at Shels. Said they wouldn't have won the title without him. Said he is a lovely lad but needs to get to the gym to toughen up. Has the skill no problem but not the physicality which, we have seen in glmpses

Stockport, Wrexham and Mansfield still have their managers. We are a bigger club than any of those....

They all pay higher wages than us. That's the difference. Plus, we tend to employ younger, up-and-coming types compared to their experienced managers.

Hinshelwood has been up there quite a while. Around 2nd or 3rd.

I rate Paul Cook. Always comes over well at interviews. Had good things to say about Walsall after their playoff win against Chesterfield. Very complimentary about Notts when we beat them at Wembley and seems to have tamed Dobra.
I'd be very happy with him.

Cook has exactly the CV required. He is a motivated, animated manager that seems to get the best available from his team. I certainly wouldn't say no but I can't see any reason for him to leave Chessie or even throw his hat in the ring (unless, out of curiosity, he applied to see what the Bros intentions were?). Certainly add spice to an already lively derby match.

Bad news unless (to quote Magpie Circle) he was asking too much and the Bros have plans to use that money to get in a "quality" player(s) with a longer shelf life?
