People who edit quotes to suit their agenda are pretty stupid.

When they can't even master the quote function, they look even more stupid.

A real pity we didn't get our own East Midlands local news programme a few years earlier as we'd then have a lot more footage from the promotion season to the top flight and the two seasons in which we stayed up. It began in the October of the season we got relegated.
Well, you learn something new everyday. I would have put money on Newbon being a Villa fan.

My memory tells me that he said something along the lines of "and here's Bradd with the winner" before he actually headed it. I swear we all knew what was coming and actually jumped with him! Even if my memory is wrong, I would love to see anything connected to that moment.

A low-res real player video capture was on the "Super Notts" website, sadly now taken down, it was sourced from a brief clip shown on a quiz show on the short lived "ITV Sports Channel" circa 2001. Still don't know where they got it from, but it'll almost certainly be just the goal that was retained in the vaults and not the whole programme (which would have had 20+ minutes of highlights and possibly a post match interview with Sirrel or Bradd conducted on the pitch).
The Fword documentary "I believe in Miracles" also used it on their trailer and presumably in the doc itself (I'll never watch it) to illustrate the state they were in pre-Clough.
The commentary goes "Scanlon against Anderson, good cross and here's Bradd (then just as ball hits the back of the net) with the winner, Les Bradd - 45 seconds to go."

The Brummy bias on ATV drove me nuts as well.

For me, it was summed up in one moment. It might have been the year we were promoted, but does anyone remember an end of season awards show and Notts' only real mention was when a ****ty comedian ('Spud Lee' or something) just stood there and roasted Jimmy Sirrel (in a really insulting and personal way) who was clearly not amused. The camera kept cutting to a smirking Gary Newbon for some reason. Or did I dream that?

Thanks for that UTM, really appreciate the reply. To be honest, they would struggle to find any 'highlights', because to the purist it was a really awful game. To a Notts fan however, it was sheer bliss. In those days I used to get the Midland General bus to Mount Street bus station and walk to and from the ground, and I've never had a slower walk back than that day. It was music to my ears listening to the numerous whining redbacks on the way home. At least my memory of the commentary is somewhere near!

Sorry to ask another question, but I also have a memory of a Football Post headline from a local derby which read "Notts supreme as Forest flounder". Do you know if that was from this game or was it another happy memory?

OK EP, everyone can agree with that idea. Even me. (If the Govt prioritises lives and our well-being over economics, I'll be impressed)
But at the same time, let's not act like the 'herd immunity' policy didn't happen. At the time other countries were taking decisive action he was standing there saying it would be good for everybody to get it and every day spent doing nothing made that a reality. For example, schools should have closed much earlier

That was the 2-0 win (Bradd, Carter) at their place the previous season, 28th December 1974.

Thanks again. Strangely, I have more vivid memories of the 0-1 win. Probably due to a winning goal in the last minute when a dull draw seems inevitable seems to count for double!

Late August 1975 . Les Bradd. Forest had been all over us, which made it even more satisfying. I still have the Forest Programme, how sad is that.
