Do you want to play 27 games in the Championship which doesn't start til October or join a Premiership club and play your first match in August?

Hibs announcing they are having to make serious cost cutting measures to get them through season 20-21 has surely made us favourites to Nisbet. I can't see them spending several hundred thousand on a played when it looks like they are about to be lay off a lot of their employees.

Reads as if they are to be scaling back a lot from the non footballing side of things to focus on the first team. How much that impacts on signings etc I'm not so sure, but it can't be good?

    And the full Hibs statement:

It doesn't say much about the club's finances if they are in the sh1t already. Also doesn't say much for their fans if they know the financial situation but they're still asking for money back for games missed last season.

They are offering all players reduced terms with a consultation period of 4-6 weeks (as per law) before job losses are announced. Scot Allan will be one of first to jump ship - presumably still waiting on that call from Pep.

Mind you phuck knows how we are being linked with a player whose club rejected a £600,000 bid from us in January.Where are we gonna get that kind of money from when a lot of our staff are furloughed?.

I was speaking to an auld school mate today who works at the club and he is still on furlough.

Furlough doesn't mean the club don't have money though it just means they are using the government scheme to do what it was intended for, to save jobs.

I do realise this Terence but it does worry me a bit that our main rivals in Scotland for his signature Hibs with a much bigger fan base are drawing in their horns.

If our owner wants to splash more of his own cash fair enough but i do not want us to go further into debt when most clubs in Scotland bar THE Rangers are being prudent during this crisis.
