answer the question though, the dross that our inept DOF brought in got us promoted, YES or NO? simple question really.

Victor Orta joined Leeds as DoF in early June 2017. Of the players in the current 1st team squad (as published on the official Leeds United web site) the following players joined Leeds following Ortas arrival;
Meslier 8/2019
Casilla 1/2019
Poveda 1/2020
Costa 7/2019
Harrison 7/2018
Bamford 7/2018
Roberts 1/2018
(I have discounted Alioski and Klichj, as they joined Leeds the month Orta arrived, so I doubt he was instrumental in their selection as new signings. (Bite me))
I would respectfully suggest that Poveda hasn't had the opportunity yet to show how good he can be, (although the signs are promising), nor that he made a significant contribution to promotion. I'd also suggest that had Casilla not gotten himself banned, we would not have achieved promotion, so hardly what you might call a "contributor".
That leaves Meslier, (very good), Costa, (meh), Harrison (very good last season, worked hard and improved over previous 2), Forshaw (meh) Bamford (good at some things, just not scoring enough) and Roberts (couple of stunning performances doth not a striker make). 6 players that were brought in on Ortas watch, whereas the squad constitutes 19 players, all 1st team players before his arrival, and apart from Davis, Shackleton, and Stevens all made significant contributions to promotion, so no, the dross that Orta brought in (the likes of Anita, Sloth, Grot, Ineguchi, Buoy, Cibicki etc etc etc etc), did not "achieve promotion", we already had most of the players that made that happen (and lets not forget that it is almost certainly the case that one of his imports cost us promotion last season).
Less confused now?

Also not forgetting it was Orta’s call to try to get Bielsa to come and be head coach - the man is a genius 😇
shows passion for the club also, more than can be said for the boy fro Eastleigh......
I think you should include Ben White, although he is not in the current squad, but I think he made a significant contribution to our promotion. You also forgot Douglas who I think was decent. So all things considered, Orta brought in about 9 players almost half of the 19 man squad who were decent players. Yes I am counting Casilla as decent. That's not bad as there are a few in the U23s who may develop into something better. Never know.
What planet are you on with your "Answer the question" drivel??????????
I thought the statement made in post #271 was reasonably clear;
"so no, the dross that Orta brought in (the likes of Anita, Sloth, Grot, Ineguchi, Buoy, Cibicki etc etc etc etc), did not "achieve promotion",
Obviously not, so to confirm;
Our inept (I like that word, well done) DoF brought to the club significant numbers of players who were either never played in the 1st team, or if they were, were hastily removed and disposed of. Of the 1st team that achieved promotion, only 3 of the players Orta MIGHT have had any involvement with (he clearly didn't with the majority of last season 1st team squad as they were here before Orta arrived) Meslier, Harrison & Bamford, made significant contributions to promotion.
So, for the second time as it's obviously hard to hear out in Spain, NO, the DROSS that our INEPT DoF brought in DID NOT achieve promotion (the vast majority of that unfortunate crew had already been disposed of before season 19/20 started).
Clear enough for you?
as mud.
muppet
Never known a medical to go on this long..
Even if you include White and Douglas that's still only 5 who made significant contributions, not 9 (and counting Casilla as decent makes no sense, he had sod all to do in the first half of the season, and then gets himself banned for large part of the second half).
Anyway, dross was brought in in large quantities, and disposed of in large part. Also worth noting that all those who made any kind of contribution were brought in after Bielsa arrived, so presumably a guiding hand applied to the runaway train.
Anyway, you all go on with your faith in Orta and I'll maintain my opinion, as were not going to convince the other party as to the "truth" if such a thing can be determined. We will see what we will see.
"Passion for the club" why, because he jumps around if we score/win and was sufficiently on the ball to have a pair of binoculars at the Derby match? Paid a small fortune he bloody well should be, I suspect most who post here would do the job for nothing (and many would do a better job).
I'm not a "boy from Eastleigh" so please dont patronise, you wont "goad" me into swapping insults, no matter how poor your arguments (or perhaps that why you feel it necessary to always resort to insults).
