Just been reading Spurs, Boavista, Dynamo Berlin, have all been invited to participate in the 40th European Success's celebrations. Don't think its a official invite more a fans thing. But why ?

I saw the Berlin lads heading down Merkland Road for a Hun game a few years ago ( no messing with those boys) and of course there's been a fan link with Spurs for a long time..

I was aware of Spuds from back in the day, and I'd heard of Hertha also.
We've played Hertha and Spuds in Europe, I dinna mind us playing Boavista?
I think their sarks are cool as.

My loon has been over to Porto just about every year ( covid permitting) for ages now.
One of the Boavista lads got marred last year, a real posh do, a good time was had by all.

Of course the hospitality is reciprocated, I met a few of them at Hampden when we won the League Cup a few years back.

Of course, getting rat ärsed is a major part of the festivities, but then, why wouldn't it be?

This whole "slave" thing is getting out of hand.

There's none of us ever bought or sold a slave so fück apologising about it.

The main thing though is that you didn't have to be black to be a slave, so that needs to be sorted out.

I cant make my mind up about that one. The tree hugging lefty wokeratti part of me, thinks it’s no hassle to at least make the gesture. We may not have been involved but there’s certainly parts of Scotland that benefited on the back of it.

That said, I disagreed with the removal of the confederate statues/renaming of schools & highways in the US

Statues being erected/ pulled down has happened throughout the ages.

There's a fair few english royalist ones up here that I wouldn't mind getting rid of.
