New Covid restrictions for Wales announced by Mark Drakeford today. He started by saying,

"Omicron has a doubling time of around two days"

Even our own Sage in England, who are not averse to a little porky or two abandoned that one a week ago.

And,

"We are seeing a rapid rise in the overall rate of the virus across Wales"

Here are the latest Positive Case rates for Wales by specimen date from the Gov.UK website,

The latest of those figures may well be adjusted up over the next couple of days, and as we're now getting to the back end of December and into the depths of winter, it's inevitable that RTI case rates will rise, they do every winter. But if Drakeford is seeing a rapid rise he's got better eyesight than me, for the last week the rate has been falling.

The good people of Wales deserve better than this, they have my condolences on being dictated to by an even bigger lying buffoon than the one we currently have to put up with in England.

We nailed this last year mon ami, "Fake News" is all it is with an obvious agenda. Fake news, put before us is made up, but sadly “fake news”, seems to spread faster than the truth. Drakeford wants a lockdown and he will lie to get one...

A lockdown?

The value of money increases with its mobility. That is the more money changes hands, the greater its economic value. On the other hand the more that money is kept immobile in a safe, the more it loses its utility, and thus its economic value decreases. This is the most fundamental principle of economics.

In state Capitalism the exploitive rulers tighten their grip over society even more. State capitalism may call itself capitalism, socialism or communism, but ultimately it stands before the masses as more dangerous than blood sucking ghouls and demons.

One of Britain’s most senior health advisers has been accused of disseminating “dodgy data” that inflated the potential risk of omicron.
Dr Jenny Harries, the chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), is understood to have been the source of a contested claim by Sajid Javid, the Health Secretary, that there is typically a 17-day lag between patients becoming infected and requiring hospitalisation. However, independent experts pointed to Office for National Statistics (ONS) data, which suggested an average delay of nine or 10 days.The claim by Mr Javid was seen as an attempt to strengthen the case for urgent new Covid-19 restrictions, on the basis that the country could be on the brink of a major spike in hospitalisations due to omicron.

They can't help it, so desperate are they to get another lockdown in, that every time any of them opens their mouth, a lie comes out. They knew exactly what they were doing as well, they knew it was a lie, I know the time lag is not 17 days, and if I know it isn't, those two most certainly know it isn't.

Far fewer people in hospital with Covid this Christmas despite cases being three times higher

The number of people in hospital with coronavirus in England is less than half what it was this time last year, despite there being three times as many reported cases, figures show.

As the government met with scientists to decide whether to impose new restrictions, the lastest hospital data showed there were 7,536 patients in hospital on December 26, compared to 18,350 on the same day last year.

would that be because they were admitted for something else (not their primary condition) - but when in hospital, were identified as a Covid case ?....but now its just, stay home, put your feet up, watch a movie, or if your unlucky enough to have that very rare malady, known as *the common cold*.....try a whiskey.

anyhow, am sure Hospitals, Government, the Media etc are completey trustworthy, so wouldn't submit erroneous data for numbers of Covidpatients through a screen in the corner of the room- would they ?
