But 7 goals in 40 games at M'well last season, 10 goals from 24 games this season. Even our Nicky can do that. And as Back Row says if Watt's declined what M'well have offered he'll be getting more here & I doubt he's worth £3k/week.
I think we've got better here with Mark McNulty & who knows, even Biamou if he ever proves his existence.
Would rather have Tony Watt in a tangerine jersey than fecking McNulty (who’s done the square root of hee haw in two years!!!!!)

That’s the problem, they’re both wage thieves

Get a good local lad in, there has to be someone hungry, decent and available if our scouts are halfway capable

I'd be very happy with this for several reasons. The game has changed now and teams no longer rely on one striker to score all the goals.

We've been powder puff and I've been saying for some time we need to sign some bigger stronger aggressive players. Ryan Edwards fitted that, Mulgrew to some extent, McMann although not the tallest has brought that to our left side. Freeman has brought massive energy and aggression on the right. Watt will bring that up front and in addition to scoring goals using his own capability will be strong enough to hold the ball up and bring others into it. That will benefit a strike partner greatly.

    Midfield next please.

I remember thinking after the game at Tannadice he was annoying and a nuisance to our defence who could make the ball stick, but then again maybe Motherwell being more direct plays to his strengths, if he gets isolated like Clark I'm not sure he has pace to get in behind, and I'm always a bit wary about signing someone on the back of hot streak however. I think like said he would probably still improve our team, but probably more of a foil for other players and not someone who will bang in 20 goals a season on a regular basis.

Reeks of someone putting in the effort in the last year of his contract to get a move to a bigger club!

Hope im wrong and he picks up with us where he left off at Well.

There is that, and also a slight concern about the number of clubs he's had but hopefully he'll settle at Tannadice and have his best career stats with us.

8 teams in four years and has only hit double figures in a season once!! McNulty's CV is miles better and he's p!sh. I wouldn't care but there's a good chance we'll be paying him loads. Lee Miller anyone?

He knows this league well enough. Not normally the kind of player I like as he seems to spend half the game on his erse. This one seems like a bit of a gamble to me but as Motherwell are top 6 challengers with ourselves, it seems a bit of a coup to get their best player. It has echoes of our Stevie Crawford deal to me...but lets hope that he finds the form of his life and can push himself into the Scotland set up...we are due a bit of luck with this type if signing as I don't think we have had that sort of luck since we got Billy Dodds and cash in exchange for Robbie Winters!

Motherwell are top 6 challengers because of his goals because without them they'd have scored around the same as us but would probably be a bit more in trouble at the bottom end because of there goals against.

I'm also a bit split on him, he's had decent spells at certain points with some of the clubs he's been at but there's a reason he's been a bit of a nomad and it's more than likely an attitude problem but there's no doubt he has talent and can take a goal and hopefully we can sort out a deal in January for him because he is certainly an upgrade on Clark.......but I'm also a bit intrigued by what the Biamou/McNulty combo could produce.

I'm dependent on the opinions of you guys on here as I don't know much about this player (not being able to see much Scottish football unless United are in action). The consensus seems to be that this is a gamble. I'm also intrigued about the Biamou/McNulty pairing - TC must be frustrated that he hasn't had the opportunity to try them out. Whichever route we go down here's hoping we can start scoring a lot of pheckin goals.
