Really pleased with that , we look well balanced tonight which is something I've wanted to see for some time .

I'm probably accused of something of a harsh critic but that's much better , I can see the purpose in our play and what Collins is trying to do .

Same again second half please .

Mcatee is working his socks off despite being a headless chicken like you say grass
He puts their defence under pressure making them hurry n make mistakes
Imo he offers more than watters
Bet that big black guy centre half gets sent off 2nd half too Cole’s taking him to the cleaners

    Pheeew !!!
This type of possession football is not for me.
    Hardly a shot on target.
    ITS BORING!!!

    KANE WATCH.
    Tally counter.
Back and side passes 26 (TWENTY SIX).
    Forward passes 7 (SEVEN).

    2nd Half
    Shrews dominate for long periods.
Barnsley under the cosh but manage to break free and score.

Collins has introduced SOCCER to Barnsley.
Although the formation stays the same - on that performance the football culture has been totally transformed for the worst.
    Take note James Cryne.
It’s gone from an up and at them exciting dynamic style - to a possession pedestrian slow dull as dish water style.
To compare with Premier clubs - it’s gone from the Liverpool style to the Man City style.

    IT’S BORING!!!

The head coach is relying on the quality of the Barnsley players to dominate the opposition - which they will do most games - but 1st Division players cannot be relied upon to deliver quality at every match - they often make mistakes that allows the opposition to create chances.
And that’s occurred in the past and will happen in the future.
Hence the games lost at home.

    Note:
    Cole efforts warrant MOTM.

Is the cheap as chip, so must be rubbish, Mael already better than Mads and even Helic.
Because I would say he is.

    Good result that.
Like animal said we looked more balanced, however 3 shots on target all night and one of those was a penalty!
The French lad gets better every game, didn’t put a foot wrong all night, Russell had his best game for us tonight did what he does very well.
Killip 2 games only conceding 1 goal will keep his confidence going till Roberts returns, to be fair he hasn’t had much to do in both games, but his distribution and positioning is spot on.
If Collins is going to take both strikers off every game, he needs 2 on the bench, not relying on playing a midfielder up front! Tonight would have been brilliant to bring Jalo on at 3-0 up and given the lad a bit of league game time.
All in all a good night though, especially as Pompey drew and Oxford lost!

    A separate note about Cole.

What he did for the 2nd goal will have increased his valuation.
A footballer that is finally starting to reveal his full potential.
    It’s fabulous to witness.

If we beat Fleetwood we will have won 5 and drawn 1 in October, if we keep a clean sheet we will have conceded 1 goal in the whole month, and we have hit 9 goals!
I can see Collins getting manager of the month!
