What worries me is that so many seem to think that it is like the boing boing days and we are just automatically going to come back up next year. Some even think we just need to appoint a lower league Manager with no experience and he will just turn it around like Megson or Atkinson did and we will be back up next year.

We are in serious trouble and are not in my opinion equipped to deal with what is going to be needed to be done in the summer. For me we are more likely to go straight through the Championship than to come back up. Even then will that be the floor, goodness only knows.

The people who run this club have failed miserably and most will move on. We the fans are the ones who are going to have to suffer for their ineptitude. Farewell Premier League may see you sometime but not holding my breath that it will be anytime soon.
I have to agree Yarm , an absolutely disgrace of a team unless some big big money is thrown at it we ain't going anywhere for years sorry to say .

Keeping Pulis would have kept us up Chris. Chadli is too idle for his own good. Morrison was a better bet. The club has let us down really bad.

We have bought more pigs in more pokes in the last few years than any other team in the last 50 years.

    Still slowly falling apart.
Pulis would have kept us up Boingy? It's down to him, his signings, his team selections, and his ridiculous tactics, that we are where we are. The damage was done before the arrival of Pardew.

If its a business like Jenkins says it is they should run an 8D. I am sure the root cause will show the same conclusion as yourself.

I don’t think either Manager can say they have done a good job this season, and the players certainly can’t.

That said the recent results have been dire as we all now. Since the turn of the year

    West Ham away lost 2-1
    Brighton home won 2-0
Everton away draw 1-1 steady start but then 4 points from 3 games but then

    Man C away lost 3-0
    Southampton home lost 2-3
    Chelsea away lost 3-0
    Huddersfield home lost 1-2
    Watford away lost 1-0
    Leicester home lost 1-4
    Bournemouth away lost 2-1
    Burnley home lost 1-2

In those 8 games losses at City and Chelsea fair enough but surely we should have been able to get at least 6/9 points from the other 6 matches as a minimum. Even at that level we would have had an outside chance of staying up, especially with Swansea to come next, despite a tough run in at the end of the season.

I still can’t believe we have lost all of those 8 games, it beggars belief to me.

Was Sam Field injured? Pardew just won’t play the youngsters, will he? I am amazed that the fans aren’t spending the whole match chanting for Pardew to be sacked. Actually, if Pardew had any conscience, he would resign out of shame.
