Ohhhhh! there is a river now flowing from Gaza into Israel,Israeli scientist's say ''its only 'piss', They are pissing themselves in fear over there.

Hamas instructs members to stop balloon terrorism
Amid pressure from Egypt and fear of an Israeli military campaign in the strip, the Gaza terror group is signaling to its fighters on the ground to stop leading the incendiary balloon and kite terrorism.

Hamas's leadership abroad informed its Gaza leadership that it would no longer be able to continue financing the "March of Return" campaign, which is estimated to have already cost tens of millions of shekels. In addition to the expensive organization of the protests, the funding includes money Hamas gives to the families of those killed and the thousands wounded in the clashes on the border.

Following the closure of the Kerem Shalom crossing to fuel and gas, there has been a spike in prices in the strip amid fears of an energy crisis. Sources in the strip estimate that by Thursday, the gas supply in the Gaza Strip will be completely depleted.

I don't pretend to understand the internal workings of the Labour Party BT, way beyond me, so could you explain why Labour will not accept the IHRA definition of anti-semitism. This seems to be the nub of the problem, that every other political party accepts it, even the police use it to define a hate crime, it seems to be the internationally accepted benchmark, but Labour alone has a problem with it.

What is it about it the IHRA definition that makes it so problematic for Labour, and has ended up with them having the reputation of being a party that harbours anti-semites. A shocking situation for any party to find itself in, I'm sure you would agree.

Why is this shocking? The Labour Party have adopted the UK Bizzies policy without brook or exception. For the life in me I can't understand what the fuss is about other than the list of Jewish MP's who constantly use anti-Semitism as the stick to beat up Corbyn with.

    UK Police definition of anti-Semitism:
Anti-Semitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of anti-Semitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.
In addition, such manifestations could also target the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish enterprise. Anti-Semitism frequently charges Jews with conspiring to harm humanity, and it is often used to blame Jews for “why things go wrong.” It is expressed in speech, writing, visual forms and action, and employs sinister stereotypes and negative character traits.
Contemporary examples of anti-Semitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere could, considering the overall context, include, but are not limited to:
    • Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.
    • Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.
    • Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.
    • Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust). Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.
    • Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.
Examples of the ways in which anti-Semitism manifests itself regarding the State of Israel considering the overall context could include:
    • Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour.
    • Applying double standards by requiring of it a behaviour not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.
    • Using the symbols and images associated with classic anti-Semitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.
    • Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.
    • Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.
However, criticism of Israel like that levelled against any other country cannot be regarded as anti-Semitic. Anti-Semitic acts are criminal when they are so defined by law (for example, denial of the Holocaust or distribution of anti-Semitic materials in some countries).
Criminal acts are anti-Semitic when the targets of attacks, whether they are people or property – such as buildings, schools, places of worship and cemeteries – are selected because they are, or are perceived to be, Jewish or linked to Jews.
Anti-Semitic discrimination is the denial to Jews of opportunities or services available to others and is illegal in many countries.

You will note sinkov that the Labour Party have more Jewish MP's than the Tories. Perhaps it's the Tory Party that is anti-Semitic and racist?
    Labour Jewish MPs:
    Louise Ellman.
    Fabian Hamilton.
    Ivan Lewis.
    Margaret Hodge.
    Ed Miliband.
    Luciana Berger.
    Alex Sobel.
    Ruth Smeeth.

    Tory Jewish MPs:
    Jonathan Djanogly.
    Grant Schapps.
    Michael Ellis.
    Robert Halfon.
    Zac Goldsmith.
    Andrew Percy.
    Lucy Frazer.

Yes, all very interesting BT, but it doesn't answer my original question, why will Labour not accept the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism ?

There may well be more Jewish Labour MPs than Tory ones, but the Tories accept the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism, it's just Labour that has a 'Jewish problem'.

As the thread title says, it won't go away, and it's not a good look, should anti-semitism really be rearing it's ugly head in British politics in 2018 ? Truly shocking. I wouldn't want to be associated with any party tainted with the accusation anyway.

The IRHA definition of anti-Semitism is IMHO fatally flawed.

The equivalent is having a Clarets Number but being banned sine die if you criticize the club.

The Israelis cannot expect to ride rough shod over the Palestinians and get no criticism.

The key bit for me, "However, criticism of Israel like that levelled against any other country cannot be regarded as anti-Semitic."

The Jews in the British Labour Party cannot abide that and therefore brand Corbyn as anti-Semitic. It's Tommy Rot and you know it is sinkov.

So lt's fatally flawed, yet absolutely everyone except your Labour Party accepts it and has no problem with it. Something not quite right there BT.

You also say your problem is caused by Jewish Labour MPs, but Tory Jewish MPs seem content with their party. Why are your Jews always kicking off but Tory Jews aren't. It does seem to be a Labour thing this Jewish problem. It was also featured on the Daily Politics this week, anti semitism in the Labour Party being discussed live on national TV. Not a good look for your Party BT.

You have it nailed there sinkov. Hodge and her cohorts want Corbyn out. Even though the Labour Party is all inclusive the Jewish MP's want special privileges; the State of Israel must not be criticized. Read the Jewish media and how powerful their message is, they are in my opinion way over the top, but in their defence, a repeat of the Holocaust can never be allowed to be repeated, but why pick on the Labour Party just because us lefties want a bit of fair play for the subjugated people of Palestine?
