Fizz with Liz
Anyway, has the initial round of shelling stopped for now?
I'm partial to cheese.
I remember when your auld auld site sign-off was a Partridge-esque plea concerning fermented curd’s odour to the olfactory organs of mothers young, old, single, flighty and yummy.
I’m nae a fan of cheese. The bland *stuff’s OK in small portions, as an ingin accompaniment in a bag of crisps, or as a factory-concocted additive to give a Ritz cracker a bit of flavour, but the stinky ‘mature’ exotic offer is, I guess, like the evil chemical marzipan, a by-product of Satan’s spermatozoa.
* go on….
Fidiyemeeeeeeaaaaaan...........
Ye ken…
On the Russia/Ukraine thread, Marzipan is about the only foodstuff I dislike - strange, as I love almonds. I am partial though to cheeses as long as it’s not the really smelly stuff that my wife sometimes buys. Cheese with red wine and crackers, ideally watching the Dons beat a cheek, is delectable, but I can’t often guarantee the latter when I partake in a cheese platter.
It depends of course whether your marzipan is made in a factory in Dundee or comes prepared by artisans from Germany or Central Europe.
Proper marzipan is a gift from the gods.
There’s even a street in Budapest called Frangepan utca.
Cheese?
Complete waste of time eating the mass produce mild versions, although I liked them well enough back in the day.
I have to be in the right mood for blue cheese though.
I must have missed the connection between Liz Truss and cheese though.
Unless it’s yet another Hungarian connection and she’s s’hite.
