That performance was typified by that bit near the end where he made a great saving tackle and then passed straight to an opponent.

Every good move seemed to be followed by a bad one.

When this has happened to us in the past Ive tried to describe it as feeling 'like a defeat'.
Only Millwall won. None of the other real rivals did
Don't think Brum are part of our mini league and Ipswich are too far behind
Our game did not feel like a defeat as we've dragged two other teams back into the dogfight.
Qpr must be seriously worried too.

    Fantastic fighting spirit today.
After last week we could have just withered away but nope we’re still going still fighting.
I thought Newell was effective today but it’s all about opinions.
    Really deserved win imo.
Im taking all the credit for today. 😊

    We won’t lose Wednesday

Well I was thinking of Millwall more than anybody else, as I dont look at Bolton as your rival, but Birmingham are defnitely still within your reach but they surprisingly beat Leeds today.

So pleased for Smith with his goal to be the cherry on a tremendous MOM performance. Contrary to earlier posts I thought newell had one of his better games and got stuck in more than he usually does. Semi looked off it today, he often looks lost in midfield but today he was slow and off the pace, other than that I've nothing but praise for the lot of them. The ref was better than we had lately, kept his cards in his pocket most of the game and let a lot of things go, yes he missed some but compared to what we usually get he was OK.
More of the same on Wednesday please another win would be brilliant, we know we're up against it but let's give our best go.
Only replied to yor quote because I thought the ref ,as you said, was better than we've had lately. At least he was ,IMO, consistent with what he dId and didn't give, he might have been **** but he was a lot less **** than most we've had this season UTM

Didn't see much of the game, but delighted with the result.

A game we really needed to win. Wednesday will be harder, would settle for a point, with our rivals not winning.

Time for PW to start Slovakian lessons for our defenders?

    Today’s attendance was 11,012

So 11000 of them probably have never seen Rotherham beat Forest

And the 12 are too old to remember.

    Wigan 5
    Millwall 6
    Reading 7
    Millers 6

    Ipswich 6

Still a tough task ahead - Reading, Millwall and Wigan not significantly crumbling. Reading goal difference worth a half a point on us too. At least we've got a less depleted squad for the next game.
Warney comments on substitutions - Jones was due to tight hamstring, Mattock felt sick and dizzy
Extend that to the last 6 games and we are 14th in the table with 9 points though most of our rivals are faring well.
Villa are top with 6 straight wins but future opponents birmingham (3 pts) and middlesbro (nil poin) are totally off form.

Ooops - B'ham won at Leeds yesterday, it was Villa that won at Swillsboro'. Apologies for the mistake.
