Had a peep earlier at the relegation odds for Div 1 this coming season. Chesterfield are a miserly 7.1 given their play off achievement the season just gone. However with Saunders as their manager that might be a little generous and well worth a punt.

Why do you assume it was Roberts tweet that started this thread?
    1) look at the date time of thread start and then compare with Roberts tweet.
It seems you're out of sync, not really a surprise.
    2) you vehemently denied that any 3 year deal would of been discussed. Within a couple of hours your **** club had broardcast the deal.
Lo and behold, a 3 year deal you mug!
Not got any problem with that had it been backed up with a hands off notice by the club but it hadn't had it?
Summarising,we want more money. No problem with that but that can be done privately, as Jim wondered in a post above, maybe it was your **** ceo who leaked our approach for PC? Your **** club seems to have form.
On a personal note explaining fishing to me was superb, the fireworks going off 'above your head' was almost cringeworthy!
You've been weighed and found wanting and hardly deserve the tag of 'site pet's but nonetheless being the magnanimous fellow I am, I'm willing to kick you once in a while if it will ke

Ah! Chesterfield! The town with the twisted spire. I first saw it as I rode in from the east via Arkwright Town, the Top Road and past the Royal Hospital, leaving on the Chatsworth Road. The town with an MP for many years who was an ex Lord - Viscount Stansgate, no less - or Tony Benn to his mates.

The Spireites have had a tremendous last couple of years with a semi final for the play-offs against Preston as their latest reward. Truly a team of over performers. We here @ Pompey recognise and validate teams, players, Managers and fans of teams, that over perform in their League. So, well done Chesterfield, you deserve the glory of the last couple of years.

Will you go down next term? Who can tell? The chances are that you will regroup and challenge again for the Play-offs again next May. Whether that pans out depends upon how your youngsters coming into the team will perform, and, of course, the tactics employed by the new Manager. We do not wish you anything but good this coming year
