Well Scottish water have denied that so unless DFC have proof 🙄

The guy who installed pipes has said the cheaper option was taken.....they have continually skimmed pitch without replacing.

I think problem started before nelms, then ignored by nelms on his watch until last season.

I think you're right - but someone was there the whole time, never shouted up and lied so is also partly liable

Genius, you should've shouted up earlier and we'd could have saved six figures employing a load of amateurs to dig it up and fix the perfectly serviceable drainage.
Long time since I have been on the pitch. I have never read any club comments about the possibility of pitch compaction and thatch. on the pitch, so why committ to pitch repairs if the rain will not drain due to the blocked dens road drain. Why would I have shouted earlier about this when the board is full of experts commenting about this, its been some great reading from all the experts on here. Removing the top surface may not be enough to stop the drainage issue if the compaction layer is lower.

Anybody got some facts about the drains or details about the work being done? Seems to me there is more to it than the surface of Dens.

Facts are Scottish Water deny drainage problems.

Facts from DFC thin on the ground

More information has came from Peter Marr.

I believe that holding tanks have now been installed.

Pity it is a belief, rather than a public announcement from our club.

I think we all agree the Dens Road drain issue now looks like a lie. Your theory on compaction and thatch would be resolved by removing the top layer which has been done a few times over successive seasons without effect, in fact it seems to have worsened over the last two to three years - so that's total *******s.

Specialist assessments have been commissioned and completed by Dundee FC and also, for some reason, by the SPFL; the recommendations made as a result of these expert analyses are being put into action. Apologies if that flies in the face of the expert analysis of someone who, by their own admission, hasn't been on the pitch for a 'long time'. Like you however, I'm glad the the experts on this forum are being ignored, otherwise the club might have spent the close season scarifying and aerating the pitch and not actually addressing the root (LOL) of the problem.

Skimming the pitch has been part of the problem.

So two away games first and the final two fixtures at 'home'. Take it that it has been arranged that way to allow as long as possible for the pitch to be ready but I suppose our final two can be rearranged for other venues if required. If they were certain now that we would have to play all four away from Dens then I doubt it the fixtures would have been set as they are.
