You will probably find with Lennon he will mellow with age, I think every manager in the game when they were his age did and said stupid things the difference is they would have done them at clubs where no one noticed not at a club like Celtic where the spotlight is on them.
He hasn't been so bad this season and when he was a season or 2 ago its easily forgotten all the outside stuff that was going on for him.
That's not making excuses but its just putting it all in perspective

Hard to believe you just posted that. Lennons reactions and particularly his proneness to blaming everybody but himself are not just the actions of a 'young manager'. Hes a classless ned and well suited to celtc.

No ranjurs. As I said, hes fine when the pressure is off.

I don't agree with him a lot of the time but I've seen plenty managers say and do similar stuff over the years to know its blown out of all proportion when it comes to Lennon.
but I agree I think he does blame others too much, and should be more respect

Bravo!
Neil has plenty to do in Scotland, without worrying about the desire of England's Premier League to have Scotland's top team you them. Plenty to do with preparing for Champions League qualification rounds and next seasons four consecutive Premiership challenge!
And to anyone who claims Neil is "unproven" as a manager, I think three Premiership titles in a row and successful qualification to the group stages of the European Champions League, the most prestigious football competition in the World, is testimony to Neil's managerial skills!!
Go Neil.

9 point lead in the 2pts/win era was quite substantial.
Lennon is a dog.
We were 7 points in front of Selik on new years day and they had 3 games in hand.Originally Posted by RustySpanner

Did that lead not increase later in the season?
And as a previous poster said, it was in the two points for a win era - so a 7 point lead back then was the equivalent of three wins and a draw ahead, not to mention the fact that Hearts also had a superior goal difference at the time as well.
Hearts blew it, and to be honest one wonders if they ever really recovered as they've not come as close since, in nearly 30 years
