    re: Finances for 2012-13

Has got me thinking tho. Weeds are held up as a badly run club but when you look at them this way they seem to be doing a great job. Off the field over achieving.

Leads me to the point Ramondo raised about over expectation. I see it as when looking at football people dont live in reality. They may well budget at home but they think because football is all over the media and high profile its big business.

Looking at these figures most clubs are small businesses with high outgongs disproportionate to the income. Some peoples expectations are aligned to these outgoings.

TO build the squad we have on the wages we pay in this day and age is no mean feat. this has been done over several years. By contrast look at florest and their expenditure and lack of foundation.

One thing does concern me about the examples at the top. florests debt is not a true reflection of the overall debt as its been capitalised. We all know its much higher. How many other clubs have done this?

As for the million pound players, well we sold players to fund those didnt we (just like i also told you). As the stats above prove, look at our spend for last year, we made 800k. Another thing i was right about.[/quote]

Let me correct you ona FACT - my comment was specifcally about I dont buy "lack of resources" as a reason for Cloughs lack of success, as you claimed to do in your opinion of Clough as a manager, i formed my opinion from watching his teams and listening to his public utterings, my view was that he was distinctly average, your view was different. I asked you for facts to back up the bottom 6 claim, I was aware the wage budget wasnt the highest (I doubt Bournemouths is either but Howe s

Yes sometimes it can be done, I have never denied that (although i noticed you have been locked in a debate recently with you attempting to show the correlation of money with success, so you know it's pretty rare). However a lot of the time teams go into freefall instead. I have listed many times the number of 'big' teams that have been relegated from the prem and then dropped down again into league 1. Clough stopped that happening (when it looked likely) and under orders reinvented the squad on the cheap and cut the wage bill massively and built something with this club. Maybe someone could have done better but i thought it was more likely that someone would do worse. If you remember i told you this not long ago, and i said i think now we are in a position, that the risk of relegation isn't that great, and so clough could feasably be got rid of and we could gamble on a new manager.

The point of fact is, he did have a bottom 6 wage bill like i said. And he didn't have a big budget to
