Why were your centre halfs playing so far apart in such an important game, especially when Liverpool didn't need the win? It was daft playing so offensive, and it's came back to bite Rodgers on the erse.

I like Brendan, but playing like that has probably cost him the best chance he'll ever have with Liverpool to win the league.
If Stevie hadn't have slipped then no one would have been commenting on the centre half's positioning today. It was just one of those things. His tactics have gotten us to the top of the league against two teams who have spent far more than us, he's doing ok & he's learning all the time.
What's the spending like since Rodgers came in though?

The owners have been a lot more prudent since the Torres money was wasted.

    i predicted chelsea to win.

it was always on the cards they would park the bus and yet liverpool were unlucky, on another day they would have scored with one of the shots from outside the box.

tactically liverpool got it wrong though, i would have kept it tight, humping long balls up to the pacier players and letting chelsea come on to them while liverpool kept thier defensive shape. chelsea struggle to play against this system especially v the smaller clubs.

when I saw the liverpool fans before the Chelsea game looked like they had already won the league, probably some of that feeling got to the players. They thought the job was done.
