I'm not 100% certain, but I think he only broke his arm or something daft, and when the St John's ambulance guy asked him if he had broken anything, he said 'only my heart'.

I'm sure he got banned for life as well. I had forgotten all about him.

He did get banned for life.

But I can tell you of someone who didn't. That's Kevin Dunne. The same Kevin Dunne who got convicted of smashing up the referee's house later that night. He was back at the first game the following season.
