I thought he made some fair, neutral points (something that some would have welcomed more of, from this poster).

No particular response was necessary but you chose to make one, for some odd reason. Once again, well done.

    Fair and neutral points?
    "Selling club"
    "Feeder club"
    "Mounting debt"
But I suppose he got the reaction that he wanted.

[quote="souths1"]What ever your allegiance, as a football fan you should be worried by having the best season ever and still be in the position of being a selling club or unofficial feeder club to the so called 'big boys', and having mounting debts (parent company irrelevant).
Only by having a billionaire owner, it is hard to see any club being able to break the top 6/7 monopoly. What happened at Pompey is very complex but in short we had one of those owners, but suddenly he upped sticks and stopped putting in the money and started to try and claw all the money back that he had put in. Clubs with owners that are 100 % benevolent are extremely rare and very lucky.
Unfortunately your owner passed away and the family have now inherited a situation they did not want. No one knows yet which way it will go, but bury

Did not ask for a response. Would be interesting to make it a debate, abuse is so easy and all too predictable.
The point I was trying to make about football fans and their allegiance to 'their' football clubs was that we are almost powerless to the whims of a rich owner. That nearly destroyed Pompey and the tone of my post was that I would not want that to happen to any club.
Not a hard point to get is it?
If you feel like making a one line, oh so clever abusive 'comeback', feel free OR challenge your mind and think for yourself. Oh, I have tried that before.

How unintimidating, predictable and positively reinventing the definition of boring. Try respond to the actual point or is that stretching your brain a little too much?
