Thoughts on Saints B...

Not for me, I'm afraid..

Can't see how they'd benefit playing against opposition that sit (by merit) outside of the professional tiers.

I think that our youngsters would learn far more through spending time with and playing against their first team colleagues ie Sam Gallagher would be better off spending his time alongside Rodriguez and Lambert than getting game time, albeit likely to be more combative, against players from the Conference.

Greg Dyke claims that young English talent doesn't have a pathway to first-team football. Looking at how Saints run their Academy and how the club is very willing to blood the nippers, I beg to differ..
