so the broadcasters get paid twice then.
once by the league, and by the fans subscribers.
thats the way to do business.
Chaz is as thick as Shyte.
Ive said it before we should let BBC film all the games and they can show any live games and highlights they want but no exclusive rights , The BBC televise the games anyway in most cases and we should give the rights away for free to anyone else.
theres that many sports channels on go nowadays , most would show the games at some point
make money on the sponsorship and advertising, same way free newspapers work
It will happen with sports on TV outwith the top leagues so we may as well be the first
Who the fk "removed" Rangers fae the SPL?

the chairmen of the other clubs - view external link
I think you will find rangers went inti liquidation and it was the current tribute act that the chairmen of the spl clubs rightly told to gtf.Originally Posted by "super_ally_rfc" Rangers fae the SPL?[/quote
nope, instead of paying 10 million (or whatever the amount is) per season, they are now paying between 9.75 -10 million for the tv rights depending on how much their expenses are for setting up cameras in lower league grounds.Originally Posted by happytim
this was done as the "league thought it necessary to agree to the deal in order to protect revenue from broadcast contracts" as without rangers games the deal was "null and void" which would either mean that there was no tv deal or the deal on offer would be vastly reduced without rangers which is why the spl paid the sfl A?800 thousand last year for the rights to the rangers games
does that explain it for you, or are you still struggling?
