LEADERS of the Confederation of British Industry in Scotland yesterday formally declared their opposition to the proposed Scottish parliament.
The decision of CBI Scotland's 52-member council was reached after considering responses to detailed questions it had submitted to all four main political parties. Its conclusions drew a bitter response from Shadow Scottish Secretary George Robertson, who accused some CBI council members of ``strong partisan leanings'' towards the Conservative party and claimed that it was not as representative as other business groups.
