There is no budget to speak of - they are potless, and will be for a generation or more..

I see the ha'penny is finally starting to drop with more and more of the fickle few getting disgruntled at having the begging bowl thrust in their faces on a daily basis and then getting openly criticised if they don't dig deep (again)..

[s]Property developer[/s] fan ownership - living the dream..

A guy in my local pub (pompey supporter) who i chat with informed me on Saturday that there is a whip round to the tune of A£250,00 happening at the moment, with around A£87,000 having been raised so far.

And yes he is a proper fan, who unlike all the Skunt posters, pays to watch his team.

He told me that he's fed up with having a begging bowl offered to him, and even though the club is community owned, can only see more handouts to keep

I don't believe the club will struggle to exist but it will struggle to attain the highest reaches of the PL.
SFC has shown us that that is the case, even with a rich owner.

An attitude shared by a great many of the few and one which is steadily on the increase - seems the fanbase is sick and tired of constantly stumping up for buckets, mops and the odd bit of turf and getting openly criticised when they choose not to.

    Reality bites..

I spoke to this bloke in a pub once who told me the moon is made of sponge pudding, that's proof enough for me.

A not atypical skate on FOL - let's call him Disgruntled of po**sea:

Many people are getting a little fed up with the begging bowl very week for something or another!
There are those that wanted to save the club and purchased shares or part shares ...
There were those that wanted to have there own shares HNW's ... All these schemes will add value to the club in the long run ... Very good for the HNWs if it were ever sold I presume.
They tell us that debts are being paid early ... Attendances are brilliant yet the begging bowl keeps coming out.
I just want to support my football club ...
I just want to pay my gate money, buy a programme, pie and a pint and watch a decent team.

I'm not surprised the few are trying to deny all knowledge of such embarrassing stories. They do have form.

Tarquin is excused, however, as he doesn't go to games so it's probably news to him too.
