[quote="dagger"]Was there and believe that that can be repeated IMHO yes we as supporters were lets say more together because what we got up to but I think it also was the way we played and the way we supported. As long as the players gave everything that was good enough for us and if we didn't get the result on the pitch we got it the other way.

But the passion is still in the supporter of today but when have we had a few seasons of good football to put a smile on our faces..been a while ( and this is not a dig at BFS) as this goes back some time and to have my hero billy bonds as our manager at the the time of villa park also helped as it felt like our club our players our supporter friends.

How many times did any of us get our skins saved by thes that can't be mentioned when you was well out of your depth away from home, that will never come back and I suppose that's good but it did unite everyone.

That part will not come back but I think a good

The other legendary losing (victory) is the little reported journey back from the Heysel after the totally unjust 4-2 defeat to Anderlect. The party on the ferry I came back on was 'king awesome and the people who saw us stagger off at Dover on the Zeebruger ferry couldn't believe that we hadn't won.

Don't remember much of the game apart from Lampard's lame pass back leading to their equaliser just before half time and a Brooking shot rattling the bar when we were 3-2 down and them scuttling down the other end and scoring to consign us to history.

Went to Villa Park in the Jag with my mate and our two young sons...looped tape of 'bubbles' playing all the way.

    Brilliant day out.

Wasn't the same sort of night at the Heysel...the feeling was different somehow.

" , but most of the time he sells his home ticket, and goes in one of the locals near the ground. ".

There you go, when i were a lad football with West Ham wasnt so predictable, one day it might be boring, the next three entertaining. You also had the consolation of being able to av a pint.

Today, you know what youre going to be served so its down the boozer to half drown your sorrows before the game begins, and then a half comfy stool to wallow in.

As for the two games mentioned, its hard to remember the last time since losing a game was as enjoyable as winning one.
