This must qualify for the king of sillyness: Nani loaned to Sporting Lisborn for the season and Manchester United to continue to pay his 115K weekly salary.

In fact this trend of lending players and picking up their wages, is all the rage with the nouveau riche Chelsea and Manchester City.

Talking of Real Mardid, i watched there league game yeserday against Real Sociedad. Mardid was 2-0 up very quikly and the commentator said how he cant see any team stoping Madrid this season and that they would blow every team away.

Final score. Real Sociedad 4-2 Real Madrid.

    Another midfielder though.

We need a backup goalkeeper and at least 2 more defenders.

Collins needs upgrading, Reids head is off in the champions league clouds, Demel is getting more injury prone and Tomkins has a court case coming up.

Odds on Glen Johnson joining us have just come down to 6/1. Bookies know something we don't?

    Was my initial thought Jimbo.
Very un-Allardyce to sign so many non-defenders!!
