keep winning and be an honest, decent bloke, even better

win, be entertaining, be honest - winner winner chicken dinner

i can remember lots of times when the majority of fans supported a manager

most likely the focus would have then gone on to a poor player, poor attendance, booing by the crowd, poor atmosphere, that's how a messageboard rolls

when all is well, it's much quieter

    fact
True. Add to that : no-one likes a manager who blows his own trumpet so much with very little to back him up in reality.

I'm now on my tenth year on this board & don't remember ANY manager in that time being like by the majority - except Pardew the first year back up.
But don't let's ever forget the utter crap that Pardew's teams served up when we were in the Championship.

And the fact he thought Harewood a better option than Tevez, Mullins a better option than Mascherano. And allegedly a load pf players' wives a better option than his own.

re: I Can't Wait For Allardyce To Be Fired.

I never really wanted him, but could see why he was appointed. A man that would come in and make us hard to beat and had a proven track record of success...success being premiership football.

His comments about the "West Ham way" were probably the most ill-judged comments of any manager taking over at a club. He may as well have called Bobby Moore a (unt. Even then, I backed him...and, despite some of the sh1te served up, still do.

However, if it weren't for the knowledge that we're a club waiting for a new stadium and new owners, I'd want him gone. As it is, I see little point in calling for his head as I just can't see it happening...we're stuck with him until the end of the season.

If he's still in charge next season and we're seeing much of the same, I may make WHU look like his best mate.

Just can't see the point of moaning about something we already knew...he's there to keep us up until new buyers come in. Which means another season of fat head.

that's just a general rule at any football club, not this club

chelsea played some poor stuff under mourinho and won the league, supporters didn't care, they bagged the silverware

we've witnessed some of the worst football i've ever seen in 44 years viewing under allardyce but until the last six months, the majority didn't care, the win ratio wasn't even that great

validates my point, i think mate

we ain't glory boys, we ain't still kicking around to polish the silverware, that's for sure

quite a large chunk of us older folk just want 100% effort and some entertainment, in the main
