You say its up to others to create competition and of course it is but if your honest you will admit its not going to happen outside of a cup shock.
Not much Celtic can do about it except hope Rangers recover and re-energise the OF and breathe some life back into the domestic game at the top level.

So falling crowds due to lack of competition, with the only prprospect of a return to competition being if Celtic get dramatically worse, a more difficult route to the CL year on year and a continued downsizing of quality on the pitch is nought wrong in your book then fair enough reve.
The tims i speak to in the real world don't agree with you.[/quote]

As strange as it may sound to a Rangers fan you have to live within your means financially. It may be the down sizing has been too much in a short period of time and that's something being debated and fans are quite rightly questioning this but then again McCann was questioned about not releasing the cash back in the day and time has shown him to be 100% correct.

Its a hard balance to get and if it was easy Rangers wouldn't have gone

You seem to think Celtic/The Rangers are the only ones capable of breathing life back into the domestic game. Methinks getting Hibs and Hearts back into the top tier would be an important step, much ignored by many in the media.

Derby games in general, not just the big Glasgow derby, help promote the profile of leagues. Glasgow, Embra, Dundee, and even the likes of ICT and Aberdeen.

The fact that Rangers went the way of The HiHi to be replaced by The Rangers doesn't mean that their elevation to the top flight will automatically mean a return to the challenges of old but it could well happen.

"Rangers recover and re-energise the OF and breathe some life back into the domestic game at the top level"...how do you think Rangers are going to do that Bluek??...that's what should concern you??

Are you another one that is just hoping for a sugar daddy to throw millions at Rangers again, or do you think there is another way??

Wallace will be walking away soon, I reckon!

If you mean Graham Wallace pogue then yes he will go.

I genuinely don't know how things will pan out for Rangers. My money is waiting to be invested when/if the right people ever get control - but my point was on celtic and the apathy and disinterest that is seeping through the support due largely to the absence of Rangers, compounded by the absence of Hearts and to a lesser extent Hibs.

It just a fact. Don't know why you and some of the rest (not all) on here can't stomoch admitting it.
I know if things were reversed I would be desperate for Celtic to get back and mount a challenge.

I'm glad of the break and have no wish to see rangers return not that I need a break from rangers fans like you bluek or my rangers supporting friends its the bitter bigots I am happy not to see again and it seemed the liquidation brought the worst aspects to the fore again (and I know we have plenty idiots too) but when rangers do make it back and can

The 2 donkey race became a walkover, obscene spending seen one donkey put down, tbh if the other ugly one got what they wanted and joined the English game or somewhere Scottish fitba would be a lot nicer and indeed better place, however they are not needed and why would they be, same old back here with a club starting off the season as 1/66 jollies .

Rangers fans have been outstanding on our support through the leagues. Sellick fans are bored sh!tless with a zero competition domestic situation allied with the downsizing in quality of the playing staff.

    Those are the facts.
So basically the last couple of seasons have been absolutely tremendous for the rangers fans and just awful for Celtic fans.

    Brilliant.

As a matter of interest, what are you looking for before you know it's "the right people"? I hope you won't be relying on Supper Ally as he's given the nod of approval to each and every CEO in the door including Whyte and Green

Ye can leave me out of the arrogant p1sh posted by the Sevconians, there have been plenty of games tae keep everyone in the Premiership happy, one big bonus for me recently has been more trips up tae the North and North East.
I know for a fact other fans are enjoying rivalries like the Dundee Derby, the Highland Derby, St Johnstone v Dunde
