    Interestingly, Deez, with Talking heads opens an can off of worms for me. The old where did punk rock come from debite. Did it originate in America and work it's way over here, or was the UK subculture there already waiting for an bit off of an push. Interestingly the New York (mainly) bands, like Patti Smith, Talking Heads, Television, the Dolls, The Ramones etc are all mainly of middle class backgrounds, they're reacting against American middle class values. In Britain, no doubt influenced by some off of the American bands, it was mainly young working class people against what was the established way off of things.

    The music over here though was heavily influenced by the yanks. Look when some off of the American bands (Ramones, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, the Dolls and the Velvet Underground) started. All before the UK bands, and they were all deeing what I'd describe as punk music. It's just perhaps there's different cultural things between the two countries, whereas in the US it

    Ive just dug out my copy of Wayne County`s Blatantly Offenize ep thats got Toilet Love on it and i had forgotten that it was on the flip side,the first track on the A side is...**** Off...
