Condolences, Izzy. I've still got my SOS Pompey Certificate somewhere. Think I donated £5, but it was a lot cheaper to save football clubs in those days...

re: Death of my Dad, Harry Garcia

I heard the news the other day and popped on the board for the first time in ages as I thought it was your Dad.

I am so very sorry for your loss Jane and that of the rest of his friends and family. I hope that the legacy he leaves and the fondness everyone has of him, will bring you some small comfort in the weeks and months that follow this. May the days be as gentle as possible on you all.

    Sweet dreams Harry.

    Dear Jane/Izzy,

I was saddened greatly to hear of your dear Dad's passing last week. He won many famous battles in his life time, not least in raising that huge amount of money in the 70s in a fantastically short time of 5 months.

It is the highest tribute to him that so many Pompey fans came forward last year as we banded our small amounts together to BUY our famous club back for the fans, just as he would have wanted.

It must be a double wrench for you having lost your mother fairly recently, but comfort yourself in the knowledge that when it really mattered, you were there for him. Be proud of him as he was proud of you. Look back on the happy moments and the achievements which littered his life. If only others could look back on so rich a heritage as he gave you, your family and so many other Pompey fans.

In the end he was granted long life and the culmination of his dreams of Pompey in safe hands and a family of loving, practical achievers.

With good positive memories and kin
