Yes there is the odd exception but you can see why clubs go for proven international strikers rather than pay 12 million for a risky unproven one.
He hasn't had his chance in the PL though so it's hard to say. You'd liken him to the style of Ulloa or Lambert, and they've done alright in the PL so far. Impossible to say until Chris plays there but I can't see it being too long before he gets his chance even if it isn't with us.[/quote]

As I said there are exceptions but for every one of those there are probably 5 or more who won't make it.
To early to judge Ulloa yet, but let's wait and see, personally

Best striker in the league, ooozes premier league quality. Best we've had since Biano / Wanchope days.

My modern day DCFC hero, if we hold onto him for a few more years then he will be talked about in 20 years time, "I wish we still had a player like Martin".

Players like Rasiak, Howard, Hulse, etc wouldn't be fit to lace his boots.

The reason Norwich let him go is that after they got promoted from league one he was absolutely pants , I know a couple fo Norwich fans who said he just didn't perform and Holt was streets ahead during that period

A player is worth whatever a club is prepared to pay for him - was McCormack worth £12 million? No? Is Martin worth more? No, but if a club is desperate enough and willing to part with the dosh then would we say no?

He surely won't believe how well he fits in here and how lucky he is to be part of our club.

I hope he feels as privileged to play for us as we are privileged to have him here.
