    CELTIC went down 1-0 to PSV today (Saturday) in the opening game of the Maspalomas Cup.

    The Dutch league-leaders scored on the half-hour mark through Memphis Depay to take the win in a relatively even game which saw Celtic control the second half.

    Ronny Deilad a strong starting XI for the Hoops’ first game of the tournament and made only four changes from the side that defeated Kilmarnock in the league prior to the departure for Gran Canaria.

    Lukasz Zaluska, Darnell Fisher, Callum McGregor and John Guidetti replaced Craig Gordon, Adam Matthews, Kris Commons and Stefan Johansen as the manager took the chance to shuffle his pack.

    Celtic put the Eredivisie league-leaders under pressure early on, forcing Remko Pasveer in goal into two uncomfortable clearances but the team from Holland soon settled.
