I am normally a positive glass half full perosn unless its football..We fell just short by a whisker last season and as we know lost Thorne, Wisdom and Bamford. Not quite a spine but certainly two spokes and the cog! We seemed to have replaced the spokes with Christie (although his early displays seem to have gone down a notch or two recently)and a combination of Ibe and a ward/dawkins? Possibly another to follow if the press is to be believed. However the cog..Eustace has been good but not in all departments as we know.More of a hub than a cog.
I worry about too may new players upsetting the balance and spirit of the squad but am hopeful that the management team know what they are doing. I think failing to find a leader on the pitch is a big issue and i dont see any evidence of that changing before thornes return. We seem though to be clinging on to a toppish spot by our fingertips and certainly last nights results went in our favour. I just hope we can take advantage before the teams

Go watch the highlights last night of his team conceeding 5 goals on BBC website. He gets beat all ends up very easily, definitely one to avoid for me.
Jesus is all left footed and loves to play the ball out from the back, Very good on the ball and composed, He can also play left back just as well as centre back.
Here he is in action the other night

Looks like he's had a 'mare in that game. Maybe his head has been turned?

If we are to get another defender we really need to sell someone, our squad will be groaning.Originally Posted by Toggles
I really think we should sit tight with what we have now. The togetherness of the squad, our tightknittedness (great word there!) has got us so far. Let's not risk that now. Even if we think some wouldn't cope with the Prem should we make it, wholesale changes now can't be a good thing? Apart from possible morale issues it could cause, have we got time for 4,5,6 players to settle into the team, and even country for that matter?[/quote]
Well lets presume that Mac and his team have made the assessments and identified where they need improvements in the squad - this does not mean the current players in those positions are bad, but surely the sign of good management is to improve before its obvious the
