As always I got the programme. Nice touch to put the old one from'76 inside. Should try that for usual matchday as well.

Blimey that was a hell of a detour. You ended up near my gaff. You should have looked in for a cup of tea.

[quote="Charlie_Wayman"]Never nice to lose but well played Palace they seemed to want it more than Saints and were well worth their victory. Nobody particularly distinguished themselves today, I thought Forster should have done better with the first goal conceded and generally in the first half out midfield was overrun. The worst game I have seen Jack Cork play. Also a bit of worry if Long has done his ribs. With others nearly ready to come back it seems to be one step forward and one step back. All in all just a bad day at the office. Here's hoping normal service is resumed for Swansea next Sunday.

Although I think it would be a really great achievement if we should qualify for Europe I feel gutted for younger fans who were not about when we won the Cup in 76'. A great day and one I will always remember. The way the cup is going this season we would have had a great chance.

Good to see all the usual suspects in the pub before the game. Best bit of th

Thanks for the offer. I think I was just looking to get back for some stronger by then.

I've forgotten it already. Good luck to Palace in the next round, but Swansea at home is where our thoughts need to be now.

    Bring it on

That was a typical Pardew 4-4-2 set up, determined and well organised commitment from his team. We couldn't deal with it and were bullied all day long. They were well worth their win and good luck to them.

Frustrated and disappointed but we move on.

Palace were well organised, wanted it more than Saints did, looked far sharper in attack and fully deserved their win - fair play to them.

Whilst not wanting to take anything away from Palace (that would be churlish), I'd confidently wager that a return to league fixtures will see more urgency and passion from Saints this coming weekend.
