Guilty as in like you state, Cameron is a bad example as as much as I don't like him, young and old do these ridiculous Freemason acceptance jobbies all the time but the things that the elder generation did was commonplace so he will be caught up in it somewhere.

I am 43.

Take for example, the elder generation accepted that the teachers at the school you sent your kids to could hit them till they were black and blue and the parents stood back and let it happen.

If any teacher back then or now harmed a hair on any of my kids head I would have broken their noses or worse.

True TD I was a victim of many a whipping; face slapping; head to may mates head banging together with force; ear pulling and threats of "knocking my lights out"; and being jabbed repeatedly with those pointed key things that went in the round locks in them storerooms which we used biros' to break in

There is a stigma now attached to that generation and when I see any of that ilk on the box I sometimes can't help wonder, which saddens and sickens me greatly

Talking of morality - I have been nosing over on yonder bored and see one of the posters has been banged up on remand for naughty doings with an underage person. Doesn't appear he is of the era you talk about TD as he is much younger
The wrong doers are rife today as they were back then. I do also suspect it is much worse now in fact.
There seems to be too much of these heinous acts being committed today.
So say there are more revelations in the pipeline with well known figures to be revealed.
It takes away everything you grew up to believe in when role models are found out and proven to be scum
