If CAFC had money pumped in as other clubs have we may well achieve greater things. Not sure it is the right way though because eventually money runs out and if we were spending money on bringing players in we would be bound to play them which then shuts off the way in for Academy players.

Not a simple answer in my opinion, I think there is more than just Davis to blame for the current situation, in fairness to him he wanted to get some better players in that would have made a real difference, but the board put the blockers on it. I's not really fair to put all the blame on his shoulders. That being said, he has got what he has got, and I think they should be able to perform better so he needs to get the best out of them and quick.

Needs to go now. Had an awful past two seasons and patience is running very thin I'm afraid. He seems to have no idea how to motivate the players, has made some dreadful signings (Nugent, anyone?) and has now even resorted to swearing on the touchline to get players' attention! Smacks of desperation to me.

He did say on Radio Joke, that if these players can`t perform, then he would have to get in some who would, seem`s a bit late now as all the good one`s have gone.

Davis has made fundamental errors in the transfer market - I won't list them but this summer's dealings have been especially poor. Letting Grant & Toots leave and not signing Coulibaly will ultimately seal our demise. Ness should have been tied up (so to speak) before he set off on his honeymoon too.

This time last year I said give him until Christmas and I'll say the same now - but he needs to make some shrewd loan signings now before its beyond saviour. We need a goalscorer and a playmaker -someone like Ness who can pass FORWARDS.

I don't think that the Board trust him 100% otherwise they would have let him take the risk on Lundstram (who has only made 1 appearance for Oxford BTW). So how long will they let this run continue....?

Resorting to swearing? You obviously haven't been near the technical area in a while! Last season I recall him shouting "f***ing c**t" at Granty which seconds later led to AG getting a yellow card and a three match suspension.

He is now publicly questioning the players that he signed and hailed as improvements on last years squad.

He lost the dressing room last year and he is already in danger of doing the same again, if not already. In any successful team the squad and coaching staff have to be united and committed to the cause, players have to believe in the Manager and that has to be reciprocated. If any one of those three elements is missing then you have a problem.

My hypothesis is that this is what lies behind the problems on the field.

And the home support is dwindling every season, less than 4000 now.
