    Oldtimeram you don't need to prove you live in Derby you just get asked if you want a free newspaper and they give you one anytime that you visit Derby.

    So let me get this right, TMDS: as I do not live in Derby. If I am seen getting off the Chesterfield bus, I would have to pay for my copy of the DT (note no E since 2009 I think), Whereas you, who appear to live in Derby can get it for free?

    If, for example, you had been visiting relatives in Buxton, and were seen getting off the bus by the DT vendor, I suppose, on this basis, they would try to make you pay. So how do you prove you live in Derby under these circumstances? What documentation do you show to prove that you qualify by residence for the free newspaper?

    Does it make a difference if you live within the county? Perhaps you can qualify for a 50% discount if you can show you live in Derbyshire? Then this is rather harsh on those from further afield who also have had to pay more to travel to Derby for their newspaper? I suspect there could be an amount of

    Roger they don't check to see if you come from Chesterfield or whatever place you come from, this is not a crime and like i said it doesn't matter where you are from you can still pick up a free copy.

    I live in the New Forest, and i read it on line now and again, sometimes i'll even read the Nottingham Post to!!!!!! I'll even read the Southampton Daily Echo as well, how crazy im i!
