    No idea what was going through his head Alf and, like Swale, I'm not defending him but it is an area I've some professional experience of and Johnson really is 'small fry' in the world of child abuse and ****philia.
    Deviance is often culturally determined and what he's done would possibly be disapproved of but not viewed as illegal

    Obviously you've never been at a cricket match and surrounded by hordes of drunken Yorkshire fans. They pronounce it YARKSHER, and just in case you don't get it the first time, they will keep on repeating it for time after time after time ad infinitum.:/

    On the other hand in Sus*** its just "play up chaps" - seriously dull followers in Hove in my experience

    Ive never ever pronounced it Yarkshire whether Im pi*ssed or not. And if we're not shouting that, we're asking the birds to get em out for the lads etc.. Like I say, no ***ism on here

    I never saw that drama Playing the field, but I did used to like The Manageress staring Cherie Lunghi. (sp).
