[quote="AnagRam"]'Whether it's all true or not I don't know'...says everything really. You mean you came across 'an article written by a woman that you found interesting' and possibly fitted your agenda but not actually much more than that, imo laz.
Sorry, but how was I the 'confrontational', 'arrogant' and 'bullish' one when I was responding to posters who had, between them, called the President of the U.S. 'an @rsehole, told him to 'phuck off', and gone on to be disrespectful towards Turkey and scaremonger about 80,000,000 Muslims.
It's all relative laz and, in my humble opinion I don't think you've completely grasped the importance of impartiality to your role as a mod on this one. Neither am I sure why you think you're empowered to tell me what form my disagreement should take. Can't see it's got anything to do with you unless I'm being offensive or abusive, but it comes across as just a tad patronising don't you think?
Anyway, back on topic, as I said t

No though we are actually ruled by an English parliament and I'd be interested in exactly what laws that are imposed on us by the EU you object to. Plus of course there are many world wide international laws which we are subject to.Originally Posted by alfinyalcabo

There is a load of horse**** being said on both sides about the Eu and yes it wastes money and there are aspects which I don't like such as federalism, single currency, but I don't think leaving it will make this country any better off nor do I think its bankrupting the UK, far from it we benefit immensely from being in the Eu so on balance remai
With all due respect laz, I suggest you read back over this thread before you describe me as being the one who has been 'rude and disrespectful'. Some examples would help.
The phrase 'Little Englanders', which seems to have caused such offence, is, I always thought, a piece of political banter aimed at those who believe England can somehow stand alone in some sort of 'splendid isolation'. Didn't realise that it would cause such 'distress'.
I have to dispute your claim about claw's statement. It is not 'quite obvious' that he is saying 'only a tiny minority of Muslims are terrorists but that a tiny minority of 80 million is a lot of potential terrorists', at all. That is entirely your interpretation. He doesn't actually mention terrorism or anything about 'a tiny minority'. He does deny that Turkey is part of Europe - debatable - and then goes on about 80 million Muslims having access to the UK. If that isn't an attempt at demonising and scaremongering I don't know what is.

Blimey...approval from Arundel. Oh well...'any port in a storm' as they say ;-)
We've had our disagreements, and doubtless will again, but for what it's worth, I agree entirely with your comment above.
Wouldnt life be boring if we all agreed with each other? Arundelred seems to be a very popular poster these days![]()
I sense a bit of a 'cop out' there laz. Today it's, 'wouldn't life be boring if we all agreed with each other'...yesterday it was apparently 'rude and disrespectful' to differ. ;-)Originally Posted by lazaat

I feel that it's my comments about that crap hole called Derby that's got you riled in the past. I'm sure that on most other subjects we agree.Originally Posted by AnagRam

I've said what I wanted to say on the subject Anagram, seems to me you are looking to pick an argument? If so go pick an argument with someone else please?
