But there is seriously something wrong when a club can do this and theyve got money, and a club like rotherham united get deducted points because they cant find money... surely the people in charge are incompetant...

Don't think QPR paid what they owed, didn't they come to an arrangement with the League, after they went to Court?

With Forest Blackburn and Fulham going it this season, then surely the deterrent isnt enough. Forest did it twice so all teams must be warned that if they repeat offend then points will be taken away. Maybe on a sliding scale. Obviously fining them an amount of money is no good anymore. The League must grow a pair and warn them all pre-season.

Salary caps in the FL? Whatever next? They'll soon be completely in the mould of US sports by having player drafting and franchising of clubs. Wait a minute!

Wait until it's like the NFL - not only do they have a salary cap (around $150M next year) but they also have a salary floor where you get fined if you don't spend enough ($120M I think).

I don't know why anybody would be surprised that they broke fairplay. They can't have made much more money than we did on gate receipts (if they made more money at all) and they splashed a fair bit of cash around.

If Tony Stewart decided to spend 50m this year, would you be so quick to say we cheated?
It's nowhere near as simple as that though.

Bournemouth's owner has not "spent" his money getting Bournemouth promoted.
He has loaned the money to the club. Initially 25 million, I'm not sure if he has loaned more since.

In their first season in the Championship Bournemouth lost more than 10 million and had debts over 20 million.

In their promotion season Bournemouth reported a loss of £38 million. Their turnover was under 13 million. staff wages were over 30 million.

On a positive note, it could mean 3 clubs a year in the Championship who's owners have given up on the gamble and no longer have a pot to pi$$ in which will take up the relegation spots. See Bolton. There's at least at least 5 on the brink I reckon

The punishment doesn't fit the 'crime'. Bournemouth have won massive amounts of TV money after breaking the fair play rules and even if they had been relegated this year that money and the parachute payments would dwarf the amount of their fine. Who said 'Crime doesn't pay'?

If the F A was really serious about this they would have forcibly relegated Bournemouth as they should have done West Ham when they breeched the ownership rules on Tevez which caused the Blades to be relegated instead of them - which NW is still pretty sore about.

There is precedent, soon after Peterborough joined the Football League they were proudly sitting top of Division Three when it was discovered they had breeched some rule or other and they were forcibly relegated at the end of that season so they had to play the year out knowing they were going down ruining the season for their supporters and the players who probably would have been promoted again.

My point is if the F A really wants to create 'fa
