You're right to point that out BaaLocks but the conviction has been 'quashed', he hasn't - as I understand it - been acquitted yet and there still has to be a retrial. Either way, given what we know of his behaviour, I'm with VdLH and he doesn't seem the sort of character I'd want representing my club.

Don't agree - all Evans has done, that is proven at this time, is cheat on his girlfriend. Not admirable but it is important to note he has had his conviction quashed. Should he be reconvicted at his upcoming trial that will change but we likely face the situation of a player who has had his career stripped from him by the media and a poor legal system - for all the reasons you suggest that even if proved innocent there are few clubs that will risk giving him a game.

Convictions do occasionally get overturned & those guilty of some horrible crimes discharged on technicalities. This doesn't make their actions morally acceptable.
