We haven't actually seen Pearce play enough for us to be able to rate him. Until the Brighton game and the first proper team selection we wont' actually know what Pearson's intentions are. But I hope we don't sell as we need decent cover at left back - let Olsson and Fossy compete for the place.

Appreciate the agreement mista but tbf to Pearce, as b&w says, we just haven't seen enough of him in a Derby shirt. His whole signing was strange. We were all glad to get him and then he became the 'forgotten man' once Shackell was signed a few weeks later.
Baird too is maybe not one to write off. He's got a decent record at a higher level and again he started last season well. I remember Ella being particularly impressed, before Baird 'blotted his copybook' and began to fall out of favour. Maybe we're only just beginning to see what a mess Clement made of things last season, although that run from Sept-Dec suggests otherwise.
Confusing really, perhaps it was just a case of signings being mismanaged by the wrong people last summer. Either way, I think Pearson is right to give everyone a fresh start before making his mind up on who to keep and who to bring in but we should also remember that last August's results ended up costing us dear.

ramAnag. Having been to all three of our friendlies I'm afraid neither Baird or Pearce are good enough if we have any ambitions of getting out of this league Funny they were both out on loan to Bristol CTY and Fulham and neither of them want them back We need to be moving forward with players like Delat who can cover either full back

Fair enough mista. You've seen them in the friendlies, I haven't, in fact I don't think I've ever seen Pearce play...not in a Derby shirt anyway.

Pearson will no doubt make the judgement on these players and Pearce was a good centre back and hasn't been given a chance, Baird seems to be valued for his experience but certainly did not do much last season, perhaps under a good manager they will come good.

Pearce didnt become a bad player overnight when he joined us but Baird is a bit long in the tooth for me. We probably need a gnarled CDM though until Thorne returns to action (if?) - but could he perform in this role? Bring back Useless Eustace eh, Angry
