This is what happens when they start making idiots admins and mods. one wrong view on something and its bye bye username, and it doesn't really help there's a report button, because that just encourages sensitive clowns to click it when they've been questioned or been disagreed with.
And unfortunately I think I've been IP banned on DCFCfans.uk, I might have to wait for it to reset before it allows me to even go in as a guest (IP ban wont even allow you in as a guest), but if I've been IP banned its pretty over the top ffs. I've heard Mel Morris reads that particular forum and has had 1 or 2 banned for "libellous" comments, if so then its pretty f****** sad that an owner of a football club is getting people banned, and in Blackpool's case, arrested for an opinion. the worlds gone f****** mad.
A number of long term posters found their log ons didnt work after the upgrade. ORF for example so we lost some there. The international break is always like this. Also the ambivilance that has fallen over the club since MM money rolled in seems to have disolved the passion and togetherness of many.
There havent been any quality posters come through except the odd few and because the admin on this board rarely bans we still have a number of poor posters who have a chip on their should.
This board is one of the most lenient but its always amuzing to us all that apparently one mod does all the banning. There is a system in place where if there is a breach of the rules then all the mods mail each other. Only if it is agreed by allthe an infringement of the rules has been made then a ban or card as was is imposed.so there is no way like onn the red dogs board a mod could go power nuts and start banning people. Whats more interesting is there have been maybe two bans in the last 12 to 18 months and both of these were for completely unacceptable and outragous comments which could have left the board liable. Amazing when you have the facts
One of the main things is many boards have disappeared. People behaviours with the rise of social media has taken focus away from them. There used to be about 20 busy boards. Now there is probably only three or four in total. sign of the times like MSN it had its hay day but now things are different.
First time I've been on in a while and half expected to see a thread of this nature. When the format changed (again) and log in was a nightmare I lost interest.
I used to be able to log in and view/reply with relative ease now it's just laborious and overran with adverts.
Shame as there has been some decent banter on here over the past few seasons.
