We're on target for conceding over 100 goals in the season, probably break the record for this division at this rate, and if the cup games are added on it could be closer to 150! This is not something that a minor adjustment, like playing Scott Allan a few yards further back/forwards will have any impact on. Stubbsy is either completely oblivious to all this, or just can't teach players how to defend properly. Not sure which is worse

They were saying on the comms on Radio Sheff that they couldn't understand how an experienced defender had his team defending the way we do. Their judgement not mine.

True...Brecks also said before a ball was kicked that if we defend to deep again we will have problems. He commented time and time again that we sit too deep.

I don't think the team is that bad, I think the tactics are shocking, every team we play will be gifted possession and be allowed to have 20+ shots.
    Soon I think we
will come up against a really good side and we will get a royal stuffing 10+ goals against

Thats exactly my thoughts on it amanda. Stubbs has top flight experience as a central defender and yet he can't organise us in a way to make us more solid. I don't expect a clean sheet every game but it's staggering how many sloppy goals we concede.

The first thing warnock did when he came in was making us hard to beat. He did this by having us meticulously organised both as a team and individually. When we lost the ball we were quickly chasing back and getting into position to help defend. The team we have at the minute just don't seam to have that team spirit or any desire to defend. Its going to be a long hard season to watch

Why is it we fetch all these defenders in and defensive midfielders and no strikers but our main problem is conceding goals still and not scoring them seems very bizarre. It sounded like Wilson had another poor game aswel as Kelly who are both past their best and shouldn't be involved again for the millers imo.

Is AS just plain naive,or totally stupid,he persists with these crazy tactics that have got us four really bad hammerings, and not a sign of changing a thing,Kelvin Wilson wants off loading pdq, before he turns in to another Danny Collins, another **** weekend.

Must agree about Wilson, but a good defence starts in midfield and none of our midfielders are capable of putting in a decent tackle.

In home games if we were to defend any deeper then the away support numbers would go up.

We were poor today. Defensively shocking. I wonder what AS does on the training ground. It was my first away game for a while and there won't be many more after that one.

We will win on Saturday against Cardiff as Frecks will start, Joe Newell should play, Fisher will be back (in for Kelly) and Wilson will be dropped.

Another observation is; how old are our fans? It's like an OAPs day out. Are us Rotherham fans a dying breed?

If I was still in CA maybe but have been in Seattle for 10+ years and true to form it's pissing it down with rain. Still, have the Sounders v Vancouver Whitecaps game coming up.
