It was a must win game for you guys , if you were to make a fist of it then nothing less than 3 points needed to be gained .

These are the results that kill you , a very winnable game and a chance to gain some much needed momentum following the boxing day win over wigan .

There's absolutely no way with all due respect that I can make a case for you millers escaping from this , I'd be more than happy to do so but in all honesty the games up this time , many of you know that in anycase .

Dont be too hard on the club , I understand the frustration and anger but for clubs like ourselves the margin for error is non too kind , every appointment made needs to be the right one , every player signed needs to improve the squad and every pound spent needs to add value and gain a return , anything other than ticking those boxes leaves you struggling .

There's little to be gained by putting out championship fires , that horse bolted last night , perhaps as far back as october , to salvage something from this season would be to get a head start on next season's league one campaign and everything the club does now should really be focusing on that narrative .

Well mate I can remember watching you guys in that second leg play off game against Preston at the NYS , we'd just gone down ourselves to league one with a paltry 39 points and a team of players non too concerned about our club or the fans , disgrace some of em , Dale Jennings wouldn't even get physically fit enough to play , Frimpong was more interested in night clubs , Kennedy and Wiseman slagged the club off on social media and Danny Wilson was a weak manager unable to get any respect from the players .

RUFC were streets ahead of us in everyway possible , the team you had then would have destroyed our collection of sorry assed losers .

The point is thats its not too long ago , things change very quickly , down now but next season could be totally different .

That's the key point, animal, it's not too long since that great display against Preston and the battling win against Leyton Orient so how and why has it come to this. No spirit, no quality, no progress. It's not just that we're up against better-resourced clubs, which was always a given, it's that we've shown nothing in terms of preparedness or willingness to combat that. It's as if the towel was thrown in before we left Wembley Stadium. It's like a marriage, the ceremony is just the beginning the hard work comes later in maintaining it.

We were the best team for the first 30 minutes again, but failed to put away several fairly easy chances... then Burton broke away and scored from their first significant attack (again)...our full backs looked like accidents waiting to happen (again) and we soon conceded another sloppy goal (again). Adeyemi, having his best game for the Millers, pulled one back just before the break, to keep us in the game.

Burton looked like a fairly poor team, but we failed to score a second half goal (yet again). Warney should have brought the subs on earlier (again). Taylor should have been brought on. Poor passing, movement and finishing from the Millers in the second half.

Newell played quite well, except for missing a couple of good scoring chances. Wood and Belaid were ok. Odemwinge might have achieved something if he had come on earlier.

We just keep on repeating the same mistakes and there is no sign that pattern is going to change

I like Fisher but he shouldn't be up front meaning Newell had to track back in defence

I thought there was some football played by us in spells but then we seemed to have a panic and hoofed the ball

I found it hard to pick a MOTM out and decided to agree with the sponsors, not saying they were rubbish just no standout player.

Was there & have seen highlights. Newell our best player on the night should have scored. D Ward free-kick there keeper put it back into play but we had no one following up. 2nd half Odemwingie & Taylor should have been straight on. The later would have done alot better with the chance that fell to Forde. Brown had a chance but fell on his left foot. Fisher had other chance, fell to the wrong player. Why did Warney bring Blackstock on & leave Taylor on the bench. Blackstock he's on his early retirement courtesy of whoever agreed to his 3 year deal.
