At least we have had a taste of what we can expect next season and the type of gates we will be getting.
At least we managed to score a second-half goal for the first time in ages, although it was only against League 1 opposition
Sorry guys, Absolute ****. Season ticket so I will keep going, What the hell.
The thing is we're not a bad team
We're a very bad team.
A very, very bad team.
Its the new fans i feel sorry for, them that came on board when NYS was built, im used to it after nearly 60yrs, talk about ups and downs.![]()
At least we can concentrate on the league now. oh wait a minute....
I've said many times that no one sees the same game - from one fan to the next - but a Rotherham fan on radio deedah has just said Rotherham's two centre halves had a good game....
Forget shape
Forget tactics
Forget fitness
Send them to 'Specsavers' because midgets were stood on their own - in the box on the six yard line and no one saw him / them.
PW said -
"You can't kick the ball for them"
I've heard that before somewhere....?
We're the victims of our own success - we bought a team per season with a lot of wastage in leagues one & two .....you simply can't do that in the championship - it's too expensive.
We got here ( championship ) too quickly but this season was supposed to be the season of lessons learned....we set up a long term plan then pulled the plug
( prematurely - In my opinion )
Then KJ saw the scale of the job and the budget to do it and ran.
Now we have no coach and "playing with heart" is our catchphrase.
The greatest mistake was making a management decision ( a long term plan - within our budget ) and not having the guts to see it through - that is ( for me ) the catastrophic event that has defined our season.
But - we still have a club!
TS had to say we want to do this - that - & tuther.....he had too.....so blaming him for making false promises is rediculous - he couldn't say with our budget we're going to get creamed every week !
He had to be optimistic - or why bother !
He set his course but then he bottled it when the course he set was the only one he had available - we couldn't throw money at it.....and even if the plan didn't work - we would have learned so much - have a team we could afford and a long term strategy and manager with a years experience of what's needed.
Now all the problems are still there - we are rudderless - in free fall and we still need a manager with all the risks that entails.
Back to square one.
Lessons to be learned and they will be I'm sure....
Biggest decision I've made this year is buying a new set of tyres - so much to think about - traction v value for money....
I don't envy TS and the decisions he's made and those decisions relate to £ millions.....armchair management is easy!
Sorry - writing it down makes me feel less hurt and helps me try and understand the problems TS has and how difficult those decisions are to make....I feel quite philosophical about it all now and anyway - stress kills !
Happy new year !
PS: Only my opinion.
Kinnel IBJ. Normally I like what you write but this one.... well. Can you edit it please.
