Maybe thats why things are quiet on the managerial front Leeds. Im sure people who might have been interested have asked themselves the very same questions. Hence the impasse.

After the last eight months I'm feeling punch drunk, too dazed to form any opinion on this appointment. We've got a man who doesn't want the job (ostensibly), who has no managerial qualifications or experience being given an extended, albeit temporary, managerial appointment. Why? Well, he's undeniably the cheap option and as such fits the club philosophy. He's steeped in 'the Rotherham way', which, depending on your point of view, is either a positive or a negative. He's committed (and by May will probably need to be)...
But can he help rebuild a shattered dream? Does he have what it takes to begin the massive reconstruction of a demoralised, inadequate, work-shy squad? Certainly not on his own. So what is the 'planned' way forward? We have a new recruitment specialist but how does his appointment dovetail with that of the temporary manager? Will funding be available, now or in the close season? And where is the coaching and development?
I confess I wasn't inspired by any of the managerial candidates on offer but, as with players, we never really know how they're going to perform until they're here so pre-judging is a futile exercise. And many were experienced, some even had knowledge of the Championship, although if they came here they'd find that surplus to requirements.
So, back to where I came in, it's been a total disaster of a season and it's been nigh impossible to see logic in anything that's transpired, or anything that's not transpired, other than the dismissal of Stubbs (with apologies to lbj). So, I can't say Paul Warne's extended tenure fills me with excitement or anticipation but neither does it fill me with despair. It's a decision is all I can say - and God knows there have been precious few of those of late.

Come on kempo admit it you called it wrong on the other thread...".Warne to walk on Monday. "
You`re right the shambles will continue till the end of the season and about Paul originally not wanting the job but he did say if Tony Stewart asked him to be in charge for the next 12 months he would do so.....Loyalty or Stupidity he`s still Rotherham through & through.
You`re also right about picking cheap players up after all why would we try to pay £30K plus like SWFC are doing. We don`t have the turnover or the fan base to get anywhere near that figure, just put it down to a poor season & move onto next season.
You ought to have spoke to Paul when MrsK kindly donated the £2, he`s a great guy to have round the club he can multi-task.
Ps....Warney, Matt Hamshaw, Dibble & Brecks take the training.....
Pps...They don`t do sit ups or press ups..... they do keepy ups though.
Have a nice night enjoy Radio Sheffield lol.
No problem with Warney. Matt Hamshaw doesn't look right to me at his side. Thought Brecks was his asssitant. Has Brecks lost the fire he had, know he once had it. We seem to nice on the bench nobody driving them on.
